Your home on the island of Rab
Five holiday apartments in Banjol, 300 metres from Padova 1 sandy beach — family-run for over 35 years.

Apartments on the Island of Rab
We are Karin and Micha, and we have been letting five holiday apartments here in Banjol for more than 35 years. To families, couples and groups of friends — many of whom have long since come back every summer. We live in the house ourselves: if something is missing or will not work, just knock.
The apartments range from 45 to 85 m² and sleep three to six people. Each has its own kitchen, at least one balcony and everything two weeks of holiday call for — down to the coffee machine. It is 300 metres to Padova 1 sandy beach; the old town of Rab is a good twenty minutes on foot along the marina.
The garden is open to every guest: barbecue, beer tap and a large olive tree that gives shade even at midday. In front of the house each apartment has its own parking space — with a CEE socket for charging electric cars and room enough for small boat trailers.

What you will find here
What awaits you on Rab
Rab lies in the Kvarner Gulf, sheltered between the mainland and the neighbouring islands of Krk and Pag. 90 square kilometres, a good 8,000 inhabitants — large enough for variety, small enough to really get to know in a week.
The island is known for two things: the sandy beaches around Lopar in the north, where you wade far out into shallow water, and the old town of Rab with its four Romanesque bell towers in a row.
In between lies the green side of the island — pine woods, olive groves and over 100 kilometres of marked trails. If you would rather stay in the water: visibility of 20 metres is normal here, and for snorkelling all you need is a mask and a rock to jump off.
And in the evening, grilled fish in a konoba by the water with a glass of the island’s white wine. A holiday day on Rab needs no more than that.

Restaurants
Food on Rab is simple and good: the catch of the day off the grill, blitva alongside, olive oil from the island. If you have more time, order lamb under the bell — janjetina ispod peke has to be ordered a day ahead. The better addresses are often not in the old town at all, but in Banjol, Barbat and Supetarska Draga, where small family-run places cook with whatever the day brings.
We are happy to book your table for you.
Bars & Lounges
The evening starts on the old town waterfront: bars in the lanes, an aperitif on one of the roof terraces overlooking the bell towers, a few clubs for the small hours. From us it is barely twenty minutes on foot along the marina — or a few euros for the water taxi, which still runs late.
Shows & Entertainment
From May to September the Rab Music Evenings take place in the cathedral and in the Church of the Holy Cross: chamber music and choral concerts in rooms with extraordinary acoustics, usually free of charge. The high point of the summer is the Rabska Fjera at the end of July — three days of medieval market in the old town, with craftspeople in historical costume, music in the evening and the island’s crossbowmen competing against one another.
Outdoor & Adventure
Over 100 kilometres of marked trails cross the island — from the flat, shady coastal path to Suha Punta to the climb up the Kamenjak ridge, from where on a clear day you can see as far as the Velebit on the mainland. Add to that dive centres with courses from taster dives to certification, SUP and kayaks for hire right on the beach, tennis, (mini) golf and bike rental in the town and in Lopar.
Day trips
Best of all by water taxi: it takes you to bays you cannot reach by land — where you often have a whole beach to yourself. Further out lie the neighbouring islands of Krk and Pag, both easily done in a day, and if you set off early you can even make it to the Plitvice Lakes.
In our garden
Barbecue, beer tap and the large olive tree: the garden is open to every guest — in the evening too, and for as long as you like.
